After meeting at a B&S ball in 2020, Ruby Austin and Andy Wettenhall’s relationship flourished despite Covid lockdowns. The couple moved to Andy’s family property, Narrabilla near Holbrook, New South Wales, to take over running the sheep and cattle enterprise in 2022. They were engaged at Christmas that year and chose to hold their wedding at home, with the ceremony taking place on their favourite hill overlooking the Wantagong Valley.
“From the minute I moved to Narrabilla, I knew I wanted to get married on that hill,” says Ruby. “We have had countless picnics, barbecues and bonfires on that hill, looking over the stunning view.” When choosing a date, Ruby remembers saying to Andy she wanted the weather to be about 25 degrees and the farm to be green. “As it turns out, we absolutely nailed the brief,” says Ruby.
